488 Linden
South San Francisco, CA
488 Linden represents an innovative Collaborative Public Private Partnership (CP3) with the City of South San Francisco for a market-rate residential infill development. Designed by Gould Evans Architects, this thoughtfully planned five-story mixed-use project features four stories of residential housing positioned above a ground-floor retail podium, delivering 37 housing units that contribute to South San Francisco's growing residential inventory while exemplifying smart urban infill design that maximizes density while maintaining neighborhood compatibility.
The development utilizes innovative subsurface mechanical parking lifts that significantly reduce the floor area required for parking and allow for more efficient site utilization, demonstrating creative approaches to urban density challenges.
Strategically positioned to capitalize on the Peninsula's extensive transit infrastructure, residents benefit from being just over ten minutes from the South San Francisco Caltrain station and approximately 30 minutes from the San Bruno BART station by foot, providing seamless connectivity throughout the Bay Area and supporting car-free lifestyle options.
Alan Katz, Principal of Rivercrest Partners, contributed to the successful approval and development oversight of this forward-thinking project while with his former company Brookwood Group.
