Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco at 101 Market Street, serving as headquarters for the largest district in the Federal Reserve System, which represents nine western states, required sophisticated security enhancements that balanced operational needs with public accessibility. A comprehensive security master plan and conceptual design engagement addressed the complex challenges facing this vital financial institution.
Through extensive collaboration with senior Federal Reserve personnel, the initiative developed strategic solutions for reorganizing the ground floor uses and circulation, as well as the overall site circulation and usage patterns while implementing enhanced security measures.
The master plan maintained essential operational functionality and public accessibility requirements. The master planning approach ensured security enhancements would be seamlessly integrated without compromising the building's role as a cornerstone of the western United States financial system.
Alan Katz served as Project Principal while at Brookwood Group, leading the comprehensive planning effort.
