Hollywood Park stands as the largest urban mixed-use development under construction in the Western United States, where Chris White served as Financial Analyst at Stockbridge Capital during the project's initial development and entitlement phases. This 300-acre transformative development in Inglewood represents the redevelopment of a former horse racetrack into a world-class entertainment and mixed-use destination.
Chris provided investment analysis and project management during Stockbridge's ownership of the project. Working with development partner Wilson Meany, he contributed to executing the business plan for this complex undertaking that required capitalizing diverse components including entertainment venues, retail, office, residential, hotels, parks, and civic infrastructure.
The development is anchored by the iconic SoFi Stadium, the 70,000-seat home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers that recently hosted the Super Bowl, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater.
The master plan includes up to 3,000 residential units, 890,000 square feet of retail space, creative office environments, and 25 acres of parks and open spaces featuring trails and a central lake.
Hollywood Park also encompasses the 12-acre Hollywood Park Studios production facility, designed to serve the entertainment industry and the 2028 Olympics. The project incorporates sustainable design principles including innovative stormwater management and water reuse systems, while its location near LAX and accessibility via the Crenshaw/LAX Line ensures regional connectivity.
Chris's financial analysis and strategic positioning work contributed to the successful transition of this landmark project, which Stockbridge ultimately sold to the owner of the Rams, demonstrating the value creation achieved through Stockbridge's expertise in large-scale urban redevelopment.
